The three Ad links
Paid links are confined to the home page. The menu has one, a block right below the first screen has another, and the last sits near the end of the page. Every one carries the Ad label, and the three share a single online casino partner as their destination. Not one paid link turns up on the inner pages.
That partner pays the site a commission. Because the partner may change, the guide leaves the operator unnamed.
The link opens onto a privately run online casino. That casino is not PlayNow; the province neither operates it nor grants it a licence. Neither BCLC, the Independent Gambling Control Office (IGCO), nor any venue in this guide is connected with it.
What the province says
In B.C., PlayNow.com, operated by BCLC, is the one legal online gambling site. On August 28, 2026, the IGCO declared that apart from PlayNow.com, no regulated commercial online gambling website may operate in BC. The same statement described every other online gambling site that accepts BC players as operating illegally in the province.
The partner behind the Ad links is not PlayNow. A resident of BC who plays on that site keeps none of the province's protections. Limits set through Game Break or PlayNow carry no weight there, and complaints about that site fall outside what the IGCO can take.
Links that are never paid
Venues, BC Ferries, BC Transit, BCLC, PlayNow and help services pay this site nothing. No link to them is paid, and links to government pages are unpaid as well.
Readers get no rewards from the guide. Each fact was compared with official sources and the venues' own pages on October 7, 2026.
